Class Description

Let’s learn Spanish! Learning a second language at an early age helps to create mental flexibility and broadens our perspective of the world we live in. Young children have an amazing ability to quickly learn other languages. Mrs. Griffin will offer students an experience in a small class size where they will be given the opportunity to practice vocabulary and phrasing in the Spanish language. Students will be given ample opportunity to practice with the teacher and friends. Students will continue to work in small groups and partnerships practicing words, phrases and expressions. We will begin writing and reading simple words and phrases in Spanish. We will also have access to Scholastic Let's Find Out Magazine in Spanish for added practice. Mrs. Griffin has a masters degree in teaching a second language and has taught bilingual classes for over 20 years.
